If Booch or Scoby sounds like a nickname for a grade-school friend, you'll soon learn otherwise. Elizabeth Vecchiarelli of Preserved, in Oakland, CA will conduct this workshop where 24 ticketed participants will have the opportunity to brew their own Booch before finishing it off by adding the Scoby.  This is the starting point of your fermented beverage, which you'll take home to age, along with instructions on flavoring and bottling.  Everyone is invited to watch but the hands-on participants are limited to 24.
